Description: A gardening programme to
- Educate students in schools to be more environmentally conscious and increase their appreciation for nature
- Provide practical and low cost plant information and cultivation techniques to students to create interest and enhance their skills in this area
- Enable students to learn to cultivate and care for vegetables, fruits and plants and work in teams
Participants: interested school students, teachers in Singapore schools
Cost: initial S$300 materials and start-up costs sponsored by UWAS (through sponsor)
Venue: selected local schools
Group size: ±20 pupils and an appointed teacher in charge
Sessions: An average of three training sessions with a UWAS trainer at the start of the project.
Subsequent sessions to be arranged as and when required.
Age group: 12 – 15 years for students, any age for interested school staff
We need UWAS members to help fund and/or join UWAS as trainers & assistant trainers

Pilot run is in progress at a local secondary school in Singapore since February 2017. Results will be shared at AGM
