Types of gold ore and its beneficiation production line

There are different types of gold ore, and their division methods are different. According to the degree of oxidation of ore, it can be divided into primary (sulfide ore) ore, partially oxidized (mixed) ore and oxidized ore. Oxide ores are characterized by iron oxide and other metal oxide minerals and argillaceous (clay) components in the ore.

Various types of gold ore have different beneficiation methods due to their different properties, but gravity separation, flotation, amalgamation, cyanidation, and recent resin slurry method, carbon slurry adsorption method, and heap leaching method are commonly used to extract gold. craft. For certain types of ores, the combined gold extraction process is often used.

Common types of gold mines and selection of beneficiation production lines

1. Quartz vein primary deposit

The production line adopted for this ore is gold extraction by amalgamation method. The amalgamation gold extraction method is divided into two types: internal amalgamation and external amalgamation. The amalgamation equipment used includes amalgamation plate, amalgamation chute, pounding machine, amalgamation cylinder and special small ball mill or rod mill.

2. Quartz vein gold-bearing ore

This type of ore often adopts the combined process of amalgamation and gravity separation. It includes two schemes of amalgamation first and then re-selection and re-election and then amalgamation. The process of amalgamation followed by gravity separation is suitable for processing simple quartz vein gold-bearing ores. The amalgamation process after gravity separation is suitable for processing ores with large gold particles, but the surface is polluted and coated with oxide film, which is not easy to be amalgamated directly, and placer gold ores with low gold content.

3. Quartz vein gold-bearing oxide ore

For this type of ore, gravity separation-cyanidation joint process is often used.

4. Sulfide gold-bearing quartz vein ores and polymetallic gold-bearing sulfide ores

This type of ore can be processed in a single flotation process. This type of mine is characterized by finer gold particles and high buoyancy.

5. Gold oxide ores and ores associated with free gold

This type of ore can be used to extract gold through a combined amalgamation-flotation process.

6. Gold is produced in quartz vein ore in a fine-grained or fine-grained dispersed state

This type of gold mine often adopts the full mud cyanidation process.

7. Quartz vein gold-bearing ores and quartz pyrite ores closely related to sulfide symbiosis

The flotation-cyanidation joint process is often used, and this process has the following three schemes: first, the flotation-concentrate cyanidation process. It is suitable for processing gold-bearing quartz vein ores and quartz pyrite ores that have a close symbiotic relationship between gold and sulfide. Second, the flotation-roasting-cyanidation process. This process is suitable for the treatment of minerals that contain floatable minerals that are harmful to cyanide, and only a small amount of gold is bound to this mineral.

8. Gold and sulfide are closely symbiotic and can only be recovered by smelting gold ore

The flotation-gravity separation combined process is adopted, and the flotation method is the main method, which is suitable for ores where gold and sulfide are closely symbiotic and can only be recovered by smelting. It is also suitable for gold-bearing quartz vein ore with uneven distribution of rough accumulation and higher recovery rate than single flotation.

9. Ore with lower gold grade

Gold extraction by heap leaching. Heap leaching is a type of gold extraction by cyanidation, which is suitable for ores with low gold content. The main advantages are simple process, less investment and low cost.

The above 9 processes are principle processes, and their internal structures should vary according to the type and nature of the ore being processed. No matter what kind of ore, as long as it contains coarse-grained gold, the principle of early harvest and more should be implemented. Before the ore enters the flotation operation, the coarse-grained gold should be recovered in time by gravity separation, amalgamation or single-cell flotation.
