The phosphate rock flotation process is suitable for phosphate rocks with complex ore texture, complex ore occurrence relationships, fine particle size, closed embedded distribution, mixed symbiosis, and difficult monomer separation.
Flotation methods include direct flotation, reverse flotation, double reverse flotation and other processes.
Direct flotation concentrates phosphorus minerals in the foam through collectors and inhibits gangue minerals through inhibitors. The direct flotation process is more suitable for low-grade phosphate rocks, including igneous apatite and sedimentary metamorphic phosphate rocks.
Phosphate rock reverse flotation is mainly used for the separation of phosphate and dolomite; dolomite is collected with fatty acids in a weakly alkaline environment, and phosphorus minerals are enriched in the tank. The biggest advantage of the reverse flotation process is that it can achieve normal temperature flotation.
Under alkaline conditions, double reverse flotation makes the silicate surface positively charged and uses anionic collectors to separate the ores. The dolomite is first flotated, and then the silicate is reversely flotated, leaving the heavy concentrate in the tank. This process can be operated at normal temperature and coarse particle size.
According to the properties of different phosphate ores, phosphate ore beneficiation methods include: 1. Flotation, scrubbing and desliming; 2. Gravity separation, chemical leaching and combined beneficiation; 3. Photoelectric separation and magnetic shielding.
