The beneficiation method of fluorite ore is gravity separation and flotation process. Special features of fluorite flotation:
1. Since industrial production of hydrofluoric acid requires calcium fluorite content >98% and silica<1%, fluorite flotation generally uses 5-7 levels of concentration;
2. When the pH of the slurry is 8-11, the floatability is good. In addition, increasing the slurry temperature can improve the flotation index.
1. Separation of fluorite and sulfide ore: Generally, a xanthate collector is used to remove the sulfide ore, and then a fatty acid collector is added to flotate the fluorite. In addition, during the flotation process, a small amount of sulfite inhibitor is added to ensure the quality of fluorspar concentrate.
2. Separation of fluorite and barite: Generally, bulk flotation is used and then separated. During bulk flotation, oleic acid is used as the collector to obtain bulk concentrate. The bulk concentrate can be separated by direct flotation or reverse flotation to obtain fluorspar concentrate.
3. Separation of fluorite and quartz: Use fatty acid to collect fluorite and use water glass to suppress quartz. The amount of water glass should be appropriate. A small amount can activate fluorite ore, but it is not enough to control quartz. Using too much will control the fluorite ore. Sometimes in order to increase the inhibitory effect, some multivalent metal ions are added, and calcite is also controlled.
