Interpretation of a lithium ore flotation process

Lithium, as a "new energy metal in the 21st century", is one of the important raw materials for the new energy battery industry. At present, the demand for lithium resources is very strong, and lithium ore beneficiation has attracted more and more attention. Among them, flotation is a commonly used beneficiation method for lithium, and its process mainly includes several stages of crushing and screening, grinding and grading, sorting, and concentration and dehydration. Let's take you to understand a certain method to realize the high-value comprehensive utilization of lithium ore and avoid the waste of lithium resources.

1. Lithium ore crushing and screening process

Two-stage one closed-circuit crushing and screening process is adopted. Lithium minerals are firstly crushed by the jaw crusher. After the raw ore is crushed to a qualified particle size, the coarsely crushed product is sent to the 1# linear vibrating screen for screening by the belt conveyor. , the product on the screen is returned to the cone crusher for secondary crushing, and the product under the screen enters the next stage of operation. Among them, the cone crusher and 2# linear vibrating screen form a local closed-circuit crushing and screening process, which can better realize the particle size control of lithium mineral roughing, and has the advantages of simple process and large processing capacity.

2. Lithium ore grinding and classification process

Grinding operation: The product under the 1# linear vibrating screen is fed into the closed-circuit grinding and screening process composed of the 1# linear vibrating screen and the 2# linear vibrating screen to grind the spodumene mineral to a qualified size.

Classification operation: After the product under the 2# linear vibrating screen is mixed with water to make pulp, the slurry is pumped to the 1# classification hydrocyclone for classification operation, and the overflow part is sent to the 2#3# concentration type via the slurry pump The desliming treatment is carried out in the cyclone, and the qualified ore pulp is used for the next stage of operation.

3. Lithium ore sorting process

Lepidolite flotation: The pulp after classification is sent to the high-efficiency stirring tank, and then sent to the flotation machine for flotation after stirring. After flotation, the lepidolite concentrate pulp is fed into the hydraulic center through the slurry pump to rotate the high-efficiency thickener , after being filtered by a belt filter, lepidolite concentrate is obtained.

Spodumene flotation: After the lepidolite is selected, the remaining slurry enters the high-efficiency stirring tank for stirring, and then it is sent to the flotation machine for a rough, three fine and three sweep flotation operations, and the gangue minerals are left in the flotation tank.

Magnetic separation of lithium ore: After flotation, the spodumene concentrate slurry is passed through a drum impurity removal screen to remove impurities, and then sent to a wet magnetic separator for iron removal and a high gradient magnetic separator for iron removal. The ore slurry is pumped into the hydraulic center by the slurry pump to rotate the high-efficiency thickener, and is filtered by the disc vacuum filter to obtain the spodumene concentrate.

Lithium ore re-election: After the tailings slurry processed by the high-gradient magnetic separator is roughed, swept, and selected by a shaking table, tantalum concentrate is obtained. After the gravity-selected tailings are screened by a high-frequency fine screen, they are sent to the wet Energy-saving overflow ball mill, the qualified slurry is sent to the spodumene concentrate for the next stage of operation.

In the process of lithium ore separation, desliming treatment is carried out before flotation to create a good working environment for flotation. The flotation-magnetic separation-gravity separation process is used to float lepidolite concentrate and spodumene respectively. The ore concentrate is then removed through a magnetic separation process to remove iron and magnetic minerals, and the tantalum concentrate is recovered through a gravity separation process. The lithium ore sorting process adopts a correct and reasonable process, pays attention to the sorting sequence, and can realize the recovery of lepidolite concentrate, spodumene concentrate, tantalum concentrate and other ores respectively.

4. Lithium ore concentration and filtration process

After iron removal, the concentrated ore slurry is pumped into the hydraulic center to rotate the high-efficiency thickener by the slurry pump, and the spodumene concentrate is obtained after being filtered by the disc vacuum filter.
