In the original gravity separation plant, because the gold embedded in the ore itself has a very fine particle size (single gold ≤ 30%, and the particle size of most gold is less than 13 μm), it is difficult to recover by a single gravity separation process, and the economic benefit is poor. In order to find an efficient and reasonable process, the mining company of this project finally commissioned Xinhai Mining to build and renovate it.
As the exploration got deeper, the original 300tpd silver cyanide plant was no longer able to meet the process needs. Due to the shortage of equipment maintenance and the inappropriate process, the plant capacity fell short of expectations and silver recovery dropped year by year. So the client decided to upgrade the plant. The raw ore consisted of metallic minerals (native silver, pyrite and limonite) and gangue minerals (quartz, feldspar and clay), with silver being the valuable mineral.
The Tanzania 1,200t/d gold mineral processing plant was an EPC+M+O project. The ore consisted of sulfide (10.7g/t) and oxide (2.4g/t), with Au being the only valuable element. They achieved a leaching rate of 93.75% and 91.58% respectively through the all-slime cyanidation gold extraction process.
