Flotation machines are the earliest developed, the most mature in technology, and have many types and specifications of equipment. They are widely used. Choosing advanced and applicable flotation machines is conducive to the stable and efficient operation of production, and helps to improve the technical and economic indicators of mineral processing.

The main development direction of flotation machines is large-scale, automated control, the introduction of new flotation machines with composite flotation fields such as centrifugal force fields and magnetic fields, and exclusive flotation machines for coarse and fine particle flotation.

Lead-zinc ore flotation column

The flotation column is a flotation equipment without a mechanical agitator. It has the advantages of simple structure, small footprint and high mineral processing enrichment ratio, and is suitable for the separation of fine-grained minerals.

The most widely used flotation equipment in lead-zinc concentrators is the flotation machine, but with the development and progress of flotation column technology, flotation columns have gradually been used.

In the crushing process, there is a large difference in the mechanical strength between lead-zinc minerals and gangue minerals. Lead-zinc minerals are selectively ground, especially lead minerals, which makes it difficult to achieve a narrow particle size distribution of the grinding product. The flotation speed of minerals with different particle sizes varies greatly. Therefore, the use of flotation columns in the selection stage and flotation machines in the roughing and scavenging stages has become an important flotation equipment usage mode. However, with the expansion of the particle size range of the flotation column or the overall fine grinding of the selected ore, some lead-zinc concentrators have achieved the use of flotation columns in the whole process.
