Flotation is a process commonly used in gold ore concentrators. It is mainly suitable for processing sulfide gold-containing quartz vein ores with good floatability, polymetallic gold-containing sulfide ores and graphite-containing gold ores. In the production process, the general gold ore flotation process mainly includes crushing and grinding operations, separation operations and dehydration operations. In this article, we will start with different operation stages to understand the equipment required for the gold mine flotation process.
Whether gold can be effectively recovered mainly depends on the mineral properties of gold and the particle size distribution of gold. Therefore, crushing and grinding are very important. In the crushing operation, small and medium-sized gold processing plants generally adopt a two-stage and one closed-circuit crushing process, while large-scale gold processing plants mostly adopt a three-stage and one closed-circuit crushing process. In crushing operations, jaw crushers are often used for coarse crushing, cone crushers are used for medium or fine crushing operations, and ball mill equipment is often used in the grinding stage. Grid-type ball mills are used for one-stage grinding operations for coarse grinding, and overflow-type ball mills are used for two-stage grinding operations. Mining operations are finely ground.
Flotation gold separation is mainly based on the different physical and chemical properties of the surface of mineral particles and the difference in flotability of minerals. Commonly used flotation processes mainly include single flotation, flotation-gravity, and flotation-concentrate cyanide. chemical, flotation-roasting-cyanidation process, etc.
In the separation operation, the commonly used flotation equipment is mainly mechanical agitation flotation machines (SF type, JJF type, BF type), inflatable agitation flotation machines (XCF type, KYF type) and flotation columns. Among them, SF type, JJF type and XCF type are suitable for rough selection and sweeping operations. KYF type and BF type are suitable for rough selection and selection operations. Commonly used dehydration equipment for dehydration operations include concentrators, filter presses, cyclones, etc. Among them, the concentrator can be used for one-stage dehydration of concentrate and tailings, and can also be used for concentration or leaching washing before leaching in cyanide plants. Cyclones and filter presses are mainly used for tailings dewatering operations.
