More than 90% of non-ferrous metal ores use flotation technology, especially for those ores with fine grains and complex intergrowth. The flotation process can achieve the ideal separation effect, recover low-grade ores separately, and then enrich a variety of high-grade concentrates.

1. Separation of lead-zinc ore: Differential flotation process, flotation of lead and pressing of zinc.

Collectors: low xanthate, high xanthate, plankton. Separation in alkaline media.

Inhibitors: CN-, NaCN, kCN, ZnSO4, Na2OS3, Na2S2O3.

Activator: copper sulfate, then collected with high-grade xanthate.

2. Copper and zinc separation: Differential flotation process, flotation of copper and depressing zinc. If the separation difficulty exceeds 2, the suppression of zinc should be strengthened.

Collectors: low xanthate, high xanthate, plankton. Separation in alkaline media.

Inhibitors: CN-, NaCN, kCN, ZnSO4, Na2OS3, Na2S2O3.

Activator: copper sulfate, then collected with xanthate.

3. Separation of copper and lead: remove the reagent first, and then carry out flotation. Levitates copper and suppresses lead, or flotation lead suppresses copper.

• Floating copper and suppressing lead: widely used in secondary copper mines, Cu2 + ions dissolve too much and are easily suppressed.

• Levitates lead and suppresses copper: Widely used in primary copper ores.
