We know that molybdenum is a metal element that was discovered relatively late. Molybdenum has the advantages of high strength, high melting point, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, etc., so it has been widely used in industry. The beneficiation method of molybdenum ore is mainly flotation method, and the recovered molybdenum mineral is molybdenite. Sometimes in order to improve the quality of molybdenum concentrate and remove impurities, the molybdenum concentrate is then subjected to chemical beneficiation. The following is an introduction to molybdenum ore flotation process, flotation method.
The crushing of molybdenum ore generally adopts a three-stage and one closed-circuit process, and the particle size of the final crushed product is 12-15 mm. Grinding is usually done by a ball mill. After grinding, a flotation machine is selected to sort the molybdenum, and the priority flotation method is adopted. Rough separation produces molybdenum coarse concentrate, and rough sweeping tailings recover associated minerals or discard them. Coarse molybdenum concentrates are regrinded in two or three stages, and refined in four or five stages to obtain the final molybdenum concentrates. The flotation agent of molybdenum ore uses non-polar oil as collector and adds foaming agent at the same time.
In order to ensure the quality of molybdenum concentrate, the copper, lead, iron and other heavy metal minerals, calcium oxide and carbonaceous minerals contained in the molybdenum concentrate need to be further separated, and the production needs to adopt segmental grinding and multi-stage separation process , and gradually achieve monomer dissociation to ensure a high recovery rate of molybdenum concentrate.
Double-layer flotation method: This method can separate impurities such as tourmaline in molybdenum ore. Add sodium silicate and alkali as dispersant to clay slurry, use industrial kerosene as blending agent, and fatty acid as collector. After stirring and mixing, static Set, the two liquids are separated, the pure kaolin is recovered from the liquid phase, and the tourmaline is recovered from the oil phase. The used blending agent (industrial kerosene) can be reused after removing impurities. The disadvantage of this method is the high cost.
Sulfurization flotation: It is the earliest application of flotation without sodium sulfide activation and directly using collectors, including fatty acid flotation, amine flotation, neutral oil emulsion flotation and chelation collectors flotation, etc. Oxidized copper ores are mostly characterized by high oxidation rate, large mud content, high combined copper content, uneven distribution of fine particles, mixed oxygen and sulfur, and coexistence of various minerals, so it is difficult for collectors to adsorb on the surface of the minerals. After sulfidation treatment, the surface of copper oxide minerals can undergo fundamental changes.
